Before you run off onto the paintballing field, be sure you are properly equipped. A fun day on the field can easily turn sour without the proper paintballing supplies, paintballing equipment, and gear designed for paintballing safety.
Prior to you head out to the field, make sure you have adequate supplies. Your supplies should include paintballs, air source, game supplies, first aide items, and snacks. Be sure to have more paintballs than you think you will need at the start of every game. Being in the middle of a paintballing game and finding out you are out of paintballs can slow you down and contribute to your team loosing. Check your CO2, compressed air, or compressed nitrogen tanks before heading out to play. Planning ahead for any paintballing games that will be played, will assure you have the supplies you need. Are armbands, flags, or a “prize” needed for the game? Be sure you take them out on the field. A simple basic first aid-kit will allow you to take care of minor injuries on the paintballing field, and keep going. To stay at the top of your game bring out some snacks like granola bars, beef jerky, and protein bars. Paintballing is a physical sport that will use your resources. Replenishing as you go will keep energy levels up during play. Paintballing protective gear can be hot, so be sure to have adequate water and/or sports drinks on hand. This is especially important during warmer seasons.
A careful check of your paintballing equipment before going paintballing will assure no problems out on the field. With the air source disconnected, check your gun to be sure it is clean and in working order. Perform any maintenance and cleaning as needed. (Suggestion-grab a couple o-rings and put it in your jacket pocket in case needed for a quick repair on the paintballing field). Take the time to maintain your gun, not only is it’s more fun to play with dependable paintballing equipment; your equipment will last longer with proper maintenance. Check your ball hauler is in good shape. You don’t want to loose a tube of balls out on the paintballing field because of a torn seam. Check your mask and goggles for cracks. Look at your hopper and be sure it has no damage and your elbow is properly attached and in good shape.
Paintballing equipment should include items that will keep you safe. Proper clothing will reduce injuries like bruising. Heavy durable clothing will reduce the impact of getting hit with a paintball. A helmet with visors, safety goggles, elbow/knee protectors, neck protectors, and gloves can all help to reduce your risk of injury when out on the paintballing field. No matter what equipment you have invested in, if you are out of shape, you increase your risk of pulled, strained, and sore muscles.
Paintballing equipment is similar to the equipment needed for airsoft gun shooting.
